BellKeep API.
A REST API for bookings, rooms, visitors, analytics, and webhooks. JSON in, JSON out. Versioned, rate-limited, and documented with OpenAPI 3.0.
API access is on Professional and Enterprise
Quickstart
Three steps to your first API call.
Generate an API key
Create a scoped key from the developer dashboard. Keys are shown once, then stored as a hashed prefix.
Make a request
Pass your key in the X-API-Key header. All endpoints are under https://bellkeep.com/api.
Explore endpoints
Try requests live in the in-app API Explorer, or download the OpenAPI spec to generate clients.
Authentication
Two ways to authenticate. Pick one.
API key
Send your key in the X-API-Key header on every request. Keys carry scopes and a per-key rate limit.
Session cookie
Browser-based calls from inside the BellKeep web app use the connect.sid session cookie automatically. This is how our own UI talks to the API.
Scopes
Each API key carries explicit scopes. Request only what you need — for example bookings:read, bookings:write, rooms:read.
Endpoints
20 endpoints across 8 resource groups. All paths are relative to https://bellkeep.com/api.
Rate limits
Limits are tied to your subscription. We publish the current state of every request as response headers.
Webhooks
Subscribe to events instead of polling. Each delivery is signed with a per-webhook secret so you can verify it came from BellKeep.
Errors
All errors share the same JSON shape. Standard HTTP status codes signal the category.
OpenAPI specification
Download the canonical OpenAPI 3.0 document. Feed it to your favourite client generator (openapi-generator, swagger-codegen, hey-api, kiota) to produce typed SDKs in any language.
